Alterations and Additions

A dated, asbestos-filled Beachcomber home was transformed into a relaxed and airy holiday retreat with an extensive reconfiguration and renovation of the top floor. We created a light-filled open plan living area by removing internal walls, raising the ceiling height and enlarging the windows while a new master suite with a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite was created by extending out into the veranda at the front. Externally, we added a skillion roof and an upstairs deck at the front with a practical shower underneath. Fixtures and fittings – such as the VJ panelled walls and stainless steel benchtop – were chosen for their relaxed yet practical qualities.
